Sooji Halwa

Description: This almonds and cashew rich soft and sweet sooji halwa is a welcome treat for taste buds at any time and can give tough competition to the best sweets on the table. It is also popular as rava sheera and served as prasad in the puja.

  1. Cook 00:08:00
    Heat clarified butter (Ghee) in a non-stick pan, add semolina and saute on a slow flame while stirring.
  2. Cook 00:02:00
    Add milk and water to the pan and mix well stirring continuously.
  3. Cook 00:07:00
    Add sugar, chopped raisins and cashews to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan.
  4. Cook 00:01:00
    Sprinkle cardamom powder over the mixture in the pan and mix well.
  5. Prep. 
    Garnish with almonds and cashews.
