Gram (Besan) flour 1.5 Cup Buttermilk 0.5 Cup Taro (Colocassia) leaf 6 Nos. Sugar 1 tsp. Salt 1 tbsp. Cooking oil 2 tbsp. Mustard seed (small) 1 tbsp. Sesame seeds 2 tbsp. Asafoetida 0.25 tsp. Copra 1 tbsp. Coriander few leaves Instructions Prep. (00:01:00)Make a paste by mixing Onion, chili, curry leaves (only 5), lime juice, ginger, sugar & garam masala together in a grinder. Prep. (00:01:00)Mix the paste with gram flour (besan), salt, buttermilk in a bowl to make it a slime like paste to be applied on taro leaves Prep. (00:05:00)Wash the taro leaves and dry them by a cloth then remove the thick veins of taro leaves with a sharp knife so that they can be rolled easily. Prep. (00:05:00)Apply the prepared paste with your fingers on each leaf on the side the veins were removed. Prepare a roll of the leaf by starting it rolling tightly from the opposite side of the tip. Do this for all the remaining leaves. Cook (00:25:00)Steam all the leaf rolls till the mixture of gram flour (besan) becomes firm. Prep. (00:02:00)When cool cut the rolls into 12 mm thick slices and keep them aside. Cook (00:02:00)Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle add asafoetida, sesame seeds and saute them on medium flame stirring it continuously adding curry leaves lastly. Prep.
